Je Joue Mio

By @ Amber St. Clare

Je Joue recently came out with a few new vibrators, but they also came out with a fun couples toy, the Je Joue Mio cock ring. This erection ring is the first cock ring in the Je Joue line of toys, and I think they got it right on their first try! This toy is awesome. The Je Joue Mio is similar in shape to the Je Joue MiMi, it looks like a MiMi donut, with a hole in the center This toy is fully rechargeable, waterproof, and it’s made of gorgeous buttery soft matte silicone. The finish of the toy is velvety smooth and feels wonderful against the skin. The ring is pretty lightweight and fits in the palm of your hand. The ring measures 3 inches in length with the ring being quite stretchy. The ring is thick, thicker than the LELO Tor II which I recently reviewed as well…I also found that the ring of Mio is stretchier than the ring of the Tor II. The top of the Mio is also rounded while the Tor II is flat. The cock ring is waterproof and can be used in the bathtub or shower, it’s also very easy to clean since it can be washed under the faucet without worrying about getting water into any crevice. The toy charges magnetically, no need to plug the toy in, there is no charging hole. The toy offers three buttons, one center button that looks like a ~ while the other larger buttons are a + and – and both are magnetic. You connect the magnetic charger to the magnetic +/- buttons and plug the charger into an outlet. The LED light on the toy blinks to let you know that the toy is charging, when the battery is too low, the light blinks red.

The toy should not be used if you’re using silicone lube, only use waterbased lube so that you don’t damage the luscious silicone. The ring can be stretched and placed over the erect penis, while the ring holds the cock and helps you stay harder for longer, the vibrations stimulate the penis and can also simulate your partner during sex, especially in the girl on top position where the top of the ring can hit her clit. This is why I adore the round shape of the top of the ring, great for grinding your clit against! This is also where the buttons are located, so you can press buttons to change settings while the toy is in use. The buttons can be a bit hard to press, as you need to press them firmly, and the center ~ button is quite small and flatter than the slightly raised magnetic buttons so some may find it a bit harder to press while the toy is in use. The toy can even be used solo, I’ve used this toy as a clit vibe before! You can put it on a realistic dildo also, for some added vibration to your usual dildo play. You can also use it as an addition to oral sex, letting your guy where it while you go down on him, or hold it in your hand and tease it against his balls or perineum.

In the above photo, you can see the LELO Tor II side by side with the Je Joue Mio for comparison. To turn the Mio on, press and hold the + button. Once the toy is turned on, you can choose a vibration speed by continuing to press the + button until you reach the vibration strength that you like best. To go to a previous vibration level, press the – button. If you want to use a vibration pattern, press the middle ~ button. There are a variety of vibration patterns that go from a quick pulsating to a rumbling slower pulsation. To turn the toy off, press and hold the – button. Once you know where the buttons are, it’s easy to press them and browse them without even looking at the toy. Mio is small but powerful, similar to the Je Joue MiMi, Mio offers nice strong rumbly vibration that resonates deeply. The motor of the toy is placed just inside the toy of the toy, the part that will touch the top of the shaft and your partner’s clit, so it’s nice pinpointed vibration. Even on it’s highest vibration setting the toy is quite discreet and isn’t too loud, especially for the power of the toy! This cock ring is the strongest cock ring I have ever used.

In the photo above, you can see the back of the LELO Tor II and the back of the Je Joue Mio. You can see that the back of the Je Joue Mio is seamless and the ring is fully covered in silicone, while the back of the LELO Tor II isn’t fully coated in silicone, you can see the black ABS plastic core of the toy. You can also see that the ring around the Tor II is hollow and has a ridge, where as the Je Joue Mio ring is a solid ring all the way around. I really like the stretch of the Mio, I feel like it stretches really nicely and yet holds firmly. The silicone finish feels so good, and the toy is very easy to clean. I also like that the toy is completely waterproof and can be used in water. Mio feels, looks, and behaves like a luxury cock ring. It also retails for just under $100 which I think is great for a luxury cock ring of this quality and power. I like the deep vibration paired with the shape and style of the ring, Mio has become my new favorite cock ring! You can get the Je Joue Mio for only $96 (if purple isn’t your color of choice, Mio also comes in a basic black color) at Trystology!

Dorcel Joy Pad

By @ Amber St. Clare

From pornographic film director Marc Dorcel, comes the Joy Pad vibrator. Made of soft smooth matte silicone, this vibrator houses two motors and is body-safe as well as compatible for use for clitoral or vaginal stimulation. The cute shape will definitely get your attention, and the bright fuchsia and black color of the body of the toy are fun and modern. This toy boasts 10 different vibration modes and has a nice hand grip handle for easy holding while thrusting. The toy requires 4 AAA batteries, and features a special U shape, along with a slightly tapered head that is curved for G-spot stimulation. There are textured rings at the base of the shaft, while the shaft is smooth and features a prominent curved edge. Once inserted, the curve points up against the vaginal wall to stimulate the G-spot, and the ridged rings at the base of the toy rest against the clit. The vibe isn’t completely waterproof, however it is water-resistant, so it’s not too hard to clean. You can clean this toy with anti-bacterial soap and water, or a sex toy wipe or cleanser. Be sure to use water-based lube with this vibe.

The vibe measures about 6 inches from tip to tip and measures 1.5 at it’s thickest point. The silicone feels nice, and I really like the bright fuchsia paired with the black handle. The toy comes in a Dorcel package box, plastic liner insert holding the toy, and instruction manual. This toy isn’t too loud, but it’s not whisper-quiet. You should be able to use it discreetly in the next room though. The vibration intensity is nice, not as strong as some other vibes on the market, but since this is a G-spot vibe and the shape offers a nice angle, for those who don’t like or need a lot of vibration internally this might be ideal. The user control to change the vibration settings and speeds is located on the black handle of the toy, and is easy to press. You can unscrew the black handle to insert the batteries as well. One of the toy’s motors is located in the tip of the toy, while the other is located at the clitoral ridges. The silicone shaft is very pliable and bendable but firm enough to enjoy some thrusting. The user control offers 4 buttons, an + and – as well as a comma shape and an upside down comma shape. The toy has 5 vibration speeds, and 5 vibration settings to browse through. The buttons are very easy to push and it’s quite simple to navigate through the settings. The vibration settings range from a flutter to more of a quick paced thumping rhythm. The vibration speeds go from a low to a medium-paced speed, not too powerful, not weak either. Fun toy with an interesting shape! You can get the Marc Dorcel Joy Pad vibrator at Trystology.

Review: LELO Tor II

By @ Amber St. Clare

LELO just recently gave an update to their previous Tor cock ring, this new toy which is similar in design but boasts a few upgrades is the LELO Tor II. This cock ring is made of smooth matte silicone, with an ABS plastic inner base. It’s all body-safe, feels quite smooth and sleek to the touch. Tor II is fully waterproof so it can be used in the shower, and it also makes this ring easy to clean as it can be washed under the faucet without worrying about getting moisture into any buttons. This toy works best with water-based lubricant, and comes packaged in the signature LELO little black box along with a charger, user manual, and storage pouch, and 1 year warranty. The ring features two easy to press buttons and has the LELO logo on the sides. The front of the ring, like the first Toy, is flat while the ring part that fits around the cock stretches nicely as it rests on the cock and allows the flat side to be perched top for clitoral stimulation in your partner and vibration along the cock for you. The erection ring fits in the palm of your hand, and is quite lightweight, I also like the design and the fact that the new Tor II comes in three new colors for the Tor, Green, Purple, and Black.

The LELO Tor 2 measures 2.6 inches in length, and a little over 1.5 inches across. It features two user buttons, + and – buttons, one on each side of the couples ring. To lock the toy, you can hold the +/- buttons at the same time for 3 seconds, and you can do the same to unlock the toy. This comes in handy if you plan on traveling with the couples ring and don’t want it buzzing around in your suitcase. To turn the toy on, press and hold the + button, and to turn it off, you press and hold the – button. To browse through the vibration settings, you can continue to press the + button until you find a setting that you like, and to go back to a previous setting, just press the – button. The toy features 6 vibration speeds which range from a low flutter to a medium-high speed. It also has 5 different vibration patterns that go from a pulsating to a thumping to a rumbling pattern. The ring itself, the rounded back part that stretches to fit around the cock is stretchy, with also firm so that it will hold onto the cock snugly. I used fingers from both hands to give it a good stretch, you can also add a little lube to it while stretching which somehow the moistened silicone seemed to stretch easier this way.

On one side of the toy, there is a small metal charging port, this is where you’ll plug the charger into. The toy needs about a 2 hour charge and will give you around and hour and a half worth of vibration. In the same way of other LELO toys, Tor 2 is quiet and doesn’t make too much of a ruckus, so you and your lover can use the couples ring discreetly without anyone in the next room knowing what is going on. Well they might know…but it probably won’t be the toy’s fault! The charging port is open, but the toy is still waterproof, and is fine for washing, I didn’t notice any water seeping into the port. LELO tends to know what they’re doing when making their toys waterproof, so the open port should still keep water out of the toy, however I wouldn’t submerge the toy into a pool or anything. Though I’m a bit surprised the port doesn’t look more like the small silicone hole on their Insignia Alia or Soraya toys. This toy can be used solo also, either held in the hand and teased against the clit, or even worn on the penis during masturbation. For couples play, the ring is really ideal during girl on top sex, so your clit can rub up against the top of the Tor 2. The toy’s buttons are quite easy to press, even with a bit of lube on your fingers, however, I would choose a speed and setting before getting too down and dirty, just because it’s easier than having to fiddle with settings in the heat of the moment. I really like the vibration speed as well, it’s quite nice on a cock ring, and I definitely like the new upgraded Tor 2 even more than I liked the previous Tor!
